Our first version of an accessible video player is live. This is our first step in supporting accessibility needs for video functionality: this player enables keyboard navigation and screen reader use on videos. This new player will allow users to control playback and adjust volume using keyboard and screen reader, on all desktop variants and browsers. Please note this feature is currently available to customers who are enabled on Accessibility. To turn on Accessibility, please reach out to your CSM or support@ceros.com. How it works To enable this feature, Navigate to the Experience Settings > under Accessibility tab > check the “Accessible Video” checkbox. That's it! No other studio-side changes need to be made by the designer.
In the coming months, we’ll be building upon this first foundational step to supporting accessibility for videos. Soon you’ll be able to add Closed Caption files and alternative Audio Tracks to your videos. We will also be following up with supporting this new video player on mobile. You will hear about it first on the Ceros Product Hub.
