General Studio Updates

We fixed a few bugs that were brought to our attention and made some general updates to the studio.

Bugs:

• Accessibility Bug: Components with hover states would sometimes disappear when tabbed to using keyboard navigation.

• Text Bug: Ungrouping a group and then undoing that action may cause text within the group to randomly move on the canvas.

Object States for SVG fill Color

One of the limitations of object states has been the inability to change SVG fill color in a state. With this update, designers can now change SVG fill color for hover, click, and custom object states.

Notes:

  • Transition support coming in a later release

Google Analytics 4 Integration

Google Analytics 4 (or GA4) is the latest version of the Google analytics platform which launched in October 2020. Compared to previous version it places a heavy emphasis on event-driven data models. It produces a more complete cross-channel view of the customer lifecycle and puts the information to use with predictive marketing features, providing marketers with more information and efficient ways to act on those insights.

How it works

  • Within the Ceros studio go to Account > Integrations add your GA4 Tracking ID field, which now supports GA4 ID ("G-"). No other studio changes need to be made.

Zoom Controls

Ceros creators have the ability to resize text by the way of zooming in and out on the overall experience. This feature further supports the ability to create Accessible content within Ceros. When enabled, end users can use the zoom controls up to 400%. Note: This feature is currently available to customers who are enabled on Accessibility. If you are interested in having Accessibility enabled please reach out to your Customer Success Manager. How it works

  • For newly created experiences, Zoom controls are turned on by default when accessibility is turned on.
  • For existing experiences Zoom controls must be enabled. To enable this feature navigate to the Experience Settings > under Accessibility tab > check the "Zoom Controls Overlay checkbox". This will ensure that Zoom Controls will be displayed in the upper-right hand corner of the experience to aid accessibility. No other studio changes need to be made.

Unpublish an Experience

On April 7th users will now have more control over live content with the ability to unpublish Ceros content as well as taking your experience offline whenever you need to and that your most up-to-date content is the only content that is live. Why:

We've made this change so whatever the reason may be that you need to take your content offline - you don't have to delete the whole experience to achieve that goal.

How it works:

  • Hover over the experience to tile to reveal the icons along the top of the tile, and click unpublish
  • After you make edits, you can hover over the icons along the top of the tile and click republish to make it live again.

Notes:

  • Once you click unpublish, your content will be removed from the web and your analytics on the piece will be paused.

Object States & Mask Images

Release 7.4.1 is live! We've made a few updates to Object States and Image Masks to enhance your studio experience.

Custom Shape Object States

This adds support for custom shape path changes in object states, so that designers can have shapes that change shape when a state is triggered. A simple example would be a triangle that changes into a square on hover.

Named Custom Object States

Currently, custom states are automatically named (State 1, State 2, etc.). Named custom states will allow users to name these states in the Studio, for better usability/scalability of the feature.

Check out educate for a deeper dive of Object States in the studio

Image Masks Interaction Update

• Interactions will now target the mask shape previously, hover and click interactions applied to mask groups use the bounding box of the shape that is masking the image as the interaction trigger. Using the shape's path will make for better and more expected interactions with image masks.

• Targeting the mask shape is a better and more expected experience
